THERE ARE MANY ADVANTAGES

• Vinyl plastic has performed successfully out of doors for many years. Architects have been specifying vinyl clad windows, schedule D PVC water pipe, and vinyl siding for decades. Of course, expansion joints, casing beads, comer beads, and screens are not exposed to the full effect of weather. They are mostly buried in the cementitious wall materials and are frequently painted.
• The impact strength of Marley accessories is one of their strong points. The products will not dent or kink like metal. They have a flexibility or spring to them, which prevents damage during transit or on the job site and make maintenance less expensive. Impact strength in ft. lbs./in. (ASTM D256) drops some as temperatures pass 0 degrees F., but not enough to cause failure.
• The coefficient of expansion is also not a problem because it cannot express itself. The Marley products are weaker than the materials in which they are imbedded and cannot move independently. They must move with the wall.
• Marley products have a Class A fire rating and will not support combustion. Smoke contribution is negligible because there is only a small amount of the accessory in ration to the wall space.
• Rust has been a severe problem for many architects and owners. Zinc and aluminum have been tried, but they oxidize and are extremely expensive. The only set of accessories that cannot rust, oxidize, or cause electrolysis and which are priced less than galvanized steel are made of vinyl plastic.
• When used with Insulated Wall Systems, Marley products preserve the R factor because they do not conduct temperatures.
• Easy Installation,there are many lathers who prefer to install Marley products because of the ease and speed of handling. But like anything else, you have to know how! Therefore, we attach an Installation Handbook to every box we ship.
• Marley accessories are stocked in white color because of the demand for something other than metallic gray. If white is not desirable, the accessories can be painted with good adhesion.

 Marley products have not been adversely affected by the ultra-violet rays of the sun, not even in Arizona where Marley expansion joints have been in place for many years. One of the reasons is that Marley material has almost no plasticizer in it, and what there is won't leach out, and besides, the chemicals are properly stabilized.

Wall construction today requires more intricate designs in the accessories. Extruded PVC provides broader design possibilities than does roll formed steel or zinc and therefore can solve more problems.

Marley accessories have proven themselves repeatedly under all climates. They insure you against rust, electrolysis, and temperature transfer.
